Synopsis

SIENNA ROSSI. My life has never been my own. As sister to the Don of New York, the Mafia controls every aspect of my life except one: my secret life behind my computer screen. So when I'm invited to Paris for the summer to study under the best hackers in the world, I jump at the chance. Paris gives me fun, freedom, and an anonymous whirlwind romance... until I realize I didn't return to New York alone. The two pink lines on the pregnancy test change everything — and threaten the stability of my brother's empire. Then the man I never thought I'd see again walks through the door: DIMITRI IVANOV, head of the Russian Bratva and father of my child. He thinks I trapped him; I think he's an asshole. But Dimitri needs an heir, and I need to protect my family. A marriage of convenience solves both our problems... but at what cost?

My review

I really enjoyed this story. After a chance encounter in Paris, the protagonists' lives take a 180° turn, because their worlds are far more intertwined than either of them imagined. Sienna is an adorable heroine looking to find her place in the mafia and stand on her own, and on the other side we have the wounded mobster, full of trauma, trying to do his best for the Bratva. Honestly, there's something about Russian characters that I just love. The accidental pregnancy — even though a lot of people don't like it — is one of my favorite tropes. It gives me an immense tenderness to watch two protagonists fall in love with each other and with the child they're going to share. This book comes highly recommended.
